قواعد استخدام a,an

أداة التعريف مقابل أداة النكرة

• استخدم أداة التعريف the عندما تريد أن توضح شيئا وتجعله محدد .

• the مثل this و that و these و those فيما عدا إنها لا
تبين مكان وقد تستخدم مع الأسماء المفرد والجمع .

• استخدم أداة النكرة a / an مع الأسماء المفرد الغير محددة ( النكرة ) ..
ولا تستخدمها مع صيغة الجمع .

1 ) محدد :

( The boys in Richard’s class are athletes . ( those boys

2 ) نكرة :

( Boys grow up to be men . ( any boys , all boys

3 ) محدد :

( The teachers at this school are kind. ( these teachers

4 ) نكرة :

( Teachers need special training . ( any teachers / all teachers

أمثلة :

1) It is hot in this room . Can you open the windows ?

2) - Girls mature faster than - boys .

3 ) Do you think – dogs are smarter than – cats ?

4) Where are the girls you told me about ?

5) The scientists I spoke to are working on a way to create
cheaper electricity

6) Mother says that – vegetables are good for you

7) The vegetables from my garden are nice and fresh

** لاحظ أنني استخدمت ( - ) لكي أوضح عدم استخدام أداة مكانها .

• كلمة the تشير إلي شخص معين ، مكان أو شيء أو فكرة معينة أو ما ذكر
من قبل .
• ويمكن استخدامها مع الأسماء المفرد والجمع .

1- I liked the story in this book about the wild dog and the farm dog

2- The exercises in this book will help us to use the articles correctly

• نستخدم the عندما يعرف المستمع أو القارئ بالفعل ما الأشياء التي نقصدها ، أو
عندما يكون هناك شيء واحد محتمل أنك تتكلم عنه .

1- I took the cat to the veterinarian

( قطتي أو القطة التي أتحدث عنها عادة .. الطبيب البيطري الوحيد في المدينة أو الذي
أذهب إليه عادة )

قارن :

- I took a cat to a veterinarian

( ليس مؤكد أي قطة أو أي طبيب بيطري يتحدث عنه المتكلم )

2- I took the car to the repair shop to have the brakes fixed

( سيارة المتكلم أو السيارة التي تحدث عنها المتكلم من قبل .. محل الإصلاح الذي يذهب إليه

المتكلم عادة أو تحدث عنه من قبل ، أو محل الإصلاح الوحيد في المدينة .. الفرامل التي

في السيار ة )

قارن :

- I bought a car from a repair shop

( السيارة أو محل الإصلاح الذين لم يتحدث عنهم المتكلم من قبل )

3- The family that lives in apartment 5B comes from Hong kong

( استخدام the لأنه يوجد تفسير يجعل من الواضح أي أسرة أتكلم عنها .. يوجد أسرة واحدة
تسكن في هذه الشقة )

قارن :

- A family that lives on Main Street comes from Singapore

( يوجد أسر كثيرة تسكن في هذا الشارع .. لذلك مازال غير واضح لك أي أسرة )

4- Could you lend me the green marker please ?

( يوجد علامة خضراء واحدة ممكنة )

قارن :

- Could you lend me a green marker please ?

( أي علامة خضراء سوف تفيد وقد يكون هناك أكثر من علامة )

أمثلة :

1- Once upon a time , there was a wild dog

2- He came to a farm and met a farm dog

3- The wild dog spoke to the farm dog about his job

4- The job was easy ; all the farm dog had to do was bark if a robber
came near the farm

5- The farmer fed the farm dog milk , bones and scraps from the
family’s dinner table

6 - The wild dog saw a mark on the farm dog’s neck

7- The mark was from a rope

8 - He did not want to wear a rope around his neck

9- The farm dog was sad to see him leave

10 - I needed a new rain coat

11- I bought a light blue rain coat and a light blue hat to match

12 – The coat was sixty dollars and the hat was ten

* نستخدم the مع الأشياء التي تكون الوحيدة من نوعها .

( قد يكون هناك آخرين من نفس نوع الأشياء ولكن لا نفكر فيها عادة ) .

- The sun rose at six a.m. this morning ( الشمس في نظامنا الشمسي )

- The moon and the stars shone brightly last night

( قمرنا والنجوم الذين نراهم بشكل عادي في السماء ) .

- The sky is blue ( السماء اليوم أو السماء المعتادة فوقنا )

- The weather is great ( طقسنا الحالي )

- The world is full of opportunities ( عالمنا )

- Don’t worry about the future ( الوقت بعد اليوم )

أمثلة :

- How is the weather in Puerto Rico in the summer ?

- I’m looking at the ocean

- The future will be here before you know it

- Barry found the wallet that everyone had been looking for

- Carrie found a wallet in the subway ( محفظة لم نعرف عنها من قبل )

- Don’t let the past run your time

- You ought to see the doctor ( طبيبك )

- you ought to see a doctor ( أي طبيب )

- What did watch on – TV last night ?

- I spoke to him on the telephone yesterday

* نستخدم the دائما في صيغة التفضيل العليا .

- Bill is a nice person . He is the nicest person I have ever met

- I just read an interesting book . It was the most interesting book
in the whole library

- A good thing to do for a headache is to put ice on your forehead
